I started this Substack as a hidden treasure for my kids.
A place to capture what I was learning through endurance sports, coaching, business, and life, not theories, but experience. The kind you only get by showing up, staying consistent, getting things wrong and doing the work again the next day.
Over time, it evolved.
What began as something personal became a space to share how I think about endurance sports, long-term development, high-performance and mastery systems, and resilience; not as an obsession with results, but as a way to stay grounded, enjoy the process and keep moving forward for decades.
Endurance sport is my main vehicle. Not because it’s heroic, but because it’s honest.
It exposes your habits, your patience, your ego, and your relationship with effort. It forces you to respect process, manage energy and stay humble when things don’t go your way. Done well, it builds resilience without disconnecting you from joy.
This Substack sits at the intersection of:
endurance training and lifestyle
high-performance towards mastery over the long term
resilience without burnout
family, relationships and responsibility
business, money and decision-making under pressure
I don’t have the holy grail to anything. I’m not here to sell shortcuts or certainty.
I’m a practitioner.
A coach.
A lifelong learner, still in the process, still testing ideas in real life.
If something here helps you train smarter, think clearer, or enjoy the path a bit more, take it. If it doesn’t, leave it behind.
You’re welcome to read, follow, interact, question and disagree with respect.
This is simply my ongoing practice, shared openly.
Ohana,
Iñaki de la Parra 🤙
